Separate research from writing

An SEO workflow should not begin by asking an AI model to write a page from a keyword alone. First collect the searcher's likely job, the questions a good page must answer, the terminology used by the audience, and the evidence that makes your site worth visiting.

A useful prompt asks the model to classify intent, list unresolved questions, and identify where first-hand experience or original data is required. That creates a planning artifact an editor can challenge before copy is drafted.

Define the page's unique contribution

Search results already contain generic definitions and lists. Your brief should state what the page will add: a tested workflow, a comparison table built from clear criteria, a calculator, an original example, or an explanation for a specific audience.

Tell the model to flag sections that would merely repeat common advice. Removing those sections makes a page shorter and more useful, while original material gets more room.

Prompt for a reviewable brief

Ask for a proposed title, search intent, reader promise, outline, internal-link opportunities, evidence requirements, and claims that need verification. Require each outline heading to include the question it answers and the reader action it enables.

Do not ask the model to guarantee rankings. Rankings depend on competition, site quality, links, technical performance, and many signals outside a prompt. Use AI to make the work clearer, not to manufacture certainty.

Editorial checks before publishing

Check that the page answers the query early, uses original examples, names its limitations, and does not repeat neighboring pages. If the page could be swapped with ten competitor pages without anyone noticing, it needs a stronger point of view.

PromptFlow's SEO collection is a starting framework. Add your own research, observations, and examples before publishing the result.
