From Vague Idea to Useful AI Prompt: A Before and After
See how a short request becomes a reusable prompt with an explicit audience, workflow, constraints, and quality review.

The vague version
Consider the request: 'Make a website for my bakery.' It contains a direction but not enough information about the customer, desired action, brand character, pages, or technical output. An AI model must guess those choices.
The result may be attractive and still be unusable. The problem is not that the model lacks creativity; the brief did not define what success looks like.
The structured version
A stronger prompt assigns the model a role such as senior product designer and frontend developer, identifies the bakery's audience, describes the conversion goal, lists required sections, specifies the framework, and asks for accessible responsive code.
It also leaves placeholders for facts the user has not supplied, such as the bakery name, menu, location, opening hours, and preferred colors. Placeholders are better than invented details because they make missing work visible.
Why the difference matters
The structured prompt reduces ambiguity before the model starts producing output. Its workflow asks for assumptions, implementation, and a quality review. That makes the response easier to inspect and revise when the first result is not quite right.
PromptFlow's free generator is designed for this transformation. Use the output as a strong first draft, then add your own facts and test the result in the target AI tool.
